How I Used GLP-1s to Change My Life: How You Could Shape Yours
“What follows is simply an introduction to my story, told plainly, for anyone who might find it helpful. It’s also the first story in what I hope becomes a larger collection of honest, human accounts of what living with GLP-1s is actually like.”
I know what it’s like to feel uncomfortable in your own body and exhausted by trying to “fix” it. I lived there for a long time. Finding GLP-1s didn’t magically solve everything, but it did give me a kind of reset I hadn’t experienced before, and it helped me lose 75 pounds.
I’m Eric Anctil, a professor, researcher, and founder of a human-engagement studio whose work focuses on how people navigate technological change, identity, and adaptation within complex social systems. Most of my work lives at the intersection of technology, identity, and what it means to be human in a rapidly shifting world.
This story is personal, but it’s also part of a broader curiosity about how people find their way through complicated systems and quiet struggles.
If it would be helpful to talk through your own questions or uncertainties, you’re welcome to book a private, in-depth conversation. I’m not a clinician or a coach, and I don’t offer medical advice, just the perspective of someone who’s walked this road and is willing to talk honestly about what it was like, because all of us deserve access to clear information and real stories when something has the potential to change a life.
